On October 10, 2025, the Grand Lobby of Marco Polo Plaza Cebu shimmered with more than just lights — it pulsed with meaning, memory, and movement. Waves & Weaves, a collaboration between STOLA Exclusives and Marco Polo Plaza Cebu, wasn’t simply a fashion showcase. It was a soulful evening where heritage met haute couture, where weaving traditions and oceanic inspiration flowed through every stitch — all brought to life by the brilliant Eve Navales.
Eve Navales — a name that continues to rise with quiet grace — is no stranger to dressing the Filipino woman with elegance, volume, and soul. Known in Cebu as a sought-after designer for weddings and special occasions, her works are celebrated for their intricate detailing, rich silhouettes, and cultural grounding. But Waves & Weaves marked more than just another milestone in her career — it was a preview of something much larger: her Milan Fashion Week debut.
Set to present two deeply personal collections — Isang Bangka and Padayun, Eve is bringing Filipino heritage to an international stage. Isang Bangka, meaning “one boat,” speaks to unity, resilience, and shared journeys. Padayun, a Visayan word meaning “to keep going,” is a tribute to the strength of Cebuanos after the earthquake that shook the region. These collections, born of adversity and hope, found their quiet beginning at Waves & Weaves.
